2012 In Review – Looking on to 2013

2012 was a very busy year, but the end of the year was packed with makeup projects – bridal makeup, commercial makeup, pageant makeup AND model makeup! The first weekend of November I finished up a busy bridal season with two bridal parties, one in Fishers, and one in Anderson. Then later in the month I met and did makeup and hair for singer Bridget Mendler! She had 2 Indiana performances, Fort Wayne and Plainfield. What a professional! She was lovely to meet and a doll to work with! Now we’re in December already and on to a new project…makeup for videos for Community Hospitals. Meanwhile, continuing with my projects with Studio K Photography – makeup and hair for pageant headshots, makeup for an MMG NY model, and makeup for the lovely RaeLynn’s Boutique girls, modeling the new 2013 prom dresses as they arrive in the store. With all that, it is hard to set bigger goals for 2013, I am so grateful my makeup artistry is in demand! With that said, I do like to set goals and look forward. I would love for 2013 to be full of more wonderful people to work with, great makeup projects to expand my commercial portfolio, and a new makeup class – maybe in New York!

I will keep you posted…but for now, here are is just a small sample of my 2012 makeup work.

Photo Makeup Indianapolis Indiana

Makeup for today’s photography and hi def media requires knowledge and use of professional cosmetics designed for UV photo lighting and flash. My kit is stocked with only the professional makeup and primers I have tested and found to hold up to a long day of shooting, to heat, and to photo lighting and flash. I enjoy the challenge of doing makeup for many different types of photography, including portraits, commercial head shoots, fashion, and editorial. I know I am applying flawless coverage my client cannot do for themselves by using long wearing pro products and airbrushing made to be used with photography lighting and HD cameras. Here are photos of some recent work, enjoy!

Why Airbrush Makeup?

I am always being asked “why do you use airbrush makeup?” and “what is the difference between airbrush foundation and traditional foundation?” Let me address these questions here.  Airbrush makeup is simply more coverage and a balanced skin tone using less product. Airbrush foundation will give you full coverage but look and feel light in texture, the airbrush makeup allows the application to be dispersed more sheerly and evenly than any traditional foundation can! You get perfect looking skin while using a minimum of product. Another big advantage to airbrush makeup is the longevity, it is incredibly water resistant, sweat and tear proof.  In closing, airbrush makeup stands up to the challenges of all of today’s hi definition and digital media while looking amazing on the skin. On set touch-ups are a breeze!
